What you make of life, your interpretation of it, is what you make of life. Your thoughts make life. Life does not make your thoughts. This is a perception you are now divining.
Of course, you are not the only person in the world who has a world view and creates the illusion. You are not the only one who follows in the footsteps of the past. You arrived into a world of the past. It has not become present yet. The world deals with an old picture of itself. But you are an original.

Há muito tempo, a primeira vez que eu li o antigo Tao Te Ching, eu passei por tantas contradições aparentes que senti como se estivesse ficando vesgo com a confusão!
Eu não estive sozinho neste tipo de sentimento. Para a maioria das mentes ocidentais, a natureza do Tao é um grande mistério que faz pouco ou nenhum sentido óbvio. Eu me deparei com afirmações que sugeriam que o Tao foi manifestado como tudo no mundo e, no entanto, o Tao era nada e lugar nenhum.
Bem, o que é em toda parte ou em lugar nenhum?
O problema está com as limitações colocadas nos tradutores ocidentais, pois eles são parte de uma tradição cultural que raramente ensina que há um estado original de ser imutável e perfeito que está por trás até mesmo do Criador.
